Welcome to Librarium Online!
First off, My SW army is all OOP and been sitting in a box unpainted more or less since the last codex came out, Heck I even have Leman Russ, the Man not the tank, though I cant find his wolves. I recently traded away my blood angels as I just wasnt that into them any more. I made an attempt to get the bulk of my wolvepainted at the begining of the year but after painting 70 odd guys grey up to the add detail level I only managed to finish half.
When i ordered spacehulk I knew I couldnt do them as blood angels. This is what I have so far.
Very Nice indeed! You are very brave to do what you have just done. The Space Hulk models are amazing and the conversions that you have done look very clean.
Just a suggestion if you ever do this again, purchase a set of space wolf termie conversion pack (from FW) and throw those in here and there with the squad.
I rep you just for the braverey you have for doing this.
you people are your good modelling skills make me sick
or jealous, one of those two
those are lovely but the question begs to be asked "Why!!" - the new Space Wolves Termies are awesome..and the models you have scultped lack a few additional wolfie bits (but they are AWESOME sculpts...)

really awesome conversions! great GS work too.
Thanks for the props.
@ Dead Dude Walking - Those termy kits are quite nice but cost is a factor for me. It was a big cash drop just to get spacehulk (the kids wont be eating for a month
@ Kelter Skelter - Thats quite flattering. I only feel that I am half decent but probably the best thing I have learnt about sculpting is if your not happy rip it off and try again. It took 3 goes to get the hair right on the sergeant. It took 3 atempts to get the fur technique right which was 2 hours for 2 square cm's worth of fur. The whole cloak took around 10 hours over the week.
@ Kithre - Yeah the new termies are nice as are all the accessories on the new wolves (not keen on the heads though) but as above I cant justify the cost of buying 5 new termies. I have a bunch of metal wolf tail talismans that I have cut of some of my other models so I will incorporate them later. I might even grow a pair and try sculpting some wolf heads rather than just converting skulls.
Why did I do it, I have a 4000 point oop metal army including 6 old metal wolfguard termies, since 3 have heavy weapons I cant make a proper squad any more. I will be retiring the old termies and using these guys. Also because I wanted to see if I could (realy want to do another set as DA but I dont have models or the need).
I wanted to go for a similar idea to the original models in that each termie has his own character. I also wanted to try and keep the conversions minimalistic to make sure I can actually complete them without resculpting the whole model.
Looking great so far, you've taken on quite a mission with this one, thee are so many BA details on these minis. I love the rune priest/Librarian especially. I can't wait to see them painted, (there's something bout them still being bright red that makes it hard to imagine them as wolves, although I have no issue with he librarian, weird.
[I can imagine the hive mind talking to itself, "more space marines, I love space marines, my brood lord will eat them for lunch. I can take a lib... what?? its a Rune Priest, what's hat he's mumbling about jaws of the what?? Oh sh.....to the escape pods!!!]
ps can we have a pic of the oop wolves you've got painted?
