The sketch looks cool, are yuou going to make it into a model? I like the dread too, I expect it to look great when finished! How did you create the shiny blue effect on the armour?
http://www.armyroster.com Check out my ToP WIP in the projects section!
I've not considered making him into a model, but why not!? I'll add him here as I make progress.
The color pattern I'm using on my Wolves is based on Viva Metallica. I wanted a quick way to paint a full army that still looked good and when I found his stuff I nearly pooped myself, lol. I'll still make ICs and such more of a project, but the basic troops n such will get the Metallica method.
Thanks for the comments, mate!
That metallic purple techmarine looks pretty nifty! He could possibly be improved with a bit of washing (to darken the recesses) but he looks fine as is.
And the sketch is superb, I really like it!
Huzzah! More awesome sketches!
Are these guys characters in your army? Or just sketches for fun? I just thought I'd ask so I'm not posting single single sentences...
Hey all, thanks for the replies and encouragement!
@Deadstar: these are just sketches for fun. I really love the fluff that GW has created for their games and it's the main reason I even play the games. So I try and get into the spirit of the game as much as possible (sometimes my lists are more fluffy than competative but I have fun^^). I've got another Librarian done and I'll be uploading him tonight, I hope.
I agree about the Iron Priest, he needs some more contrast in there somewhere, I'll probably give him a Badab wash over that purpley/pink. I'm trying to paint these guys in the more traditional colors, despite the fact that they aren't super codex-faithful. I think it'll help with the overall army look.
