This is my new winged Hive Tyrant I named Cyclone Tyrant in honour of Cyclonus of the Decepticons. They are also both purple flying things. It was hard to make as it didn't want to balance on the base I made for it. It is one of the prievious versions of the Hive Tyrant. I remade it so the body would be stretched out to show it is made for flight and this also makes it look a little like the Harridan. I also wanted it to look sort of like a biological Landspeeder.
The wings came from the Balrog and the devourers from the plastic Carnifex and the old metal Tyranid warriors. I positioned it that way so that it would look like it is flying along over the ruined terrain. I glued it directly to the terrain as I didn't want a big pole holding it up and I knew it would eventually snap off as I've had an earlier winged Hive Tyrant do that.
Painting it was fun, though reaching areas on the underside was hard. Also my varnish went funny because of moisture in the air outside and I had to do some repairs. However it was easily fixed up a properly varnished. The wing membrane was one of the most fun parts. I did it with a pattern to make it more interesting an not just a single colour. Please do tell if you have any comments, questions or critcism.
Wow I'm lost for words that look so unbelievably awesome.
The color scheme is great it looks so dark and boarding
I love it
The only ting I don't like is the way it looks a bit beach on the bit of wall.

-Rep for color choice.
This still leaves you in the positive. I'm sorry but ever since that color combination first started making it big a handful of years ago I've disliked it. Just never been a fan.
