hey, i recently started a space marine side project and was wondering if anybody had some ideas on good industrial basing...Im looking for something that looks like metal plating or metal floors, and preferably very dirty and gritty/bloody looking, something that looks like it came right out of doom or alien, but doesn't take a ton of effort...thanks for your help
chaos marines have the chaos gods on their side, but space marines have games workshop on theirs
Hobby stores carry pressed plasticard in those shapes.. Look in the train models section.. Also additional plasticard strips cna be used to improvise different sections of an industrial warehouse.. Like the border for square hatches.
Look at some sci-fi movies that are in an industrial type area, or even a space station.. (Aliens comes to mind) lots of scenes there that can be replicated for floor basing. All using plasticard.
You can also use cut-up sprue to represent girders and other metal things sticking up at odd angles.
Aggies for 40k - PM me for details.
Glue fine plastic or fabric mesh to the base. Add a little paint and it looks like a grating or catwalk section.
I just paint 'em, I don't actually know how to play.
