Hey, I've just started a SM army (just done 5 marines with bolters), but it seems quite hard to get their arms to stick on whilst holding a bolter at the right angle. Any tips? I left the arms bolter and shoulder pads off, painted them seperately, and have stuck them on at the end. It's worked out OKish but it was stressful holding the arms on to the marines with my (mildly) shaky arms while it dried for about 30 seconds! (The longest half minute in my LIFE!)
If you primed and painted everything separately, you may have paint in joints. You ideally want clean plastic between pieces, and if there's paint covering it that could be making it take longer.
