my sweet Andrea gave me really neat toys this Xmas, got 2 vintage land raiders and a old pred so i thought to share the first restored land raider i done, note that i play CSM black legion so the chaos iconography will be added later on, but for the moment its fully operational and ready for the table top.
Thats a lovely little tank. The old Rogue Trader models were really nice. It's hard to believe that the hobby once started there. You've restored it rather nicely though.
In fact it's almost cute! (all together now) Awwwwwwww.
2500 points of Empire for ToXG: Points painted for month 4: 0 Points painted overall: 510
well those are far from free, over ebay they go almost if not higher somtimes as the mk3 one. a high investment for a banged up model that need some work to get right. Thanks for the comment
if you want your own instead of buying off you can alyways check how to build your own out of plasticard
Nice gifts. (I think I was actually watching the exact same auctions on ebay.)
I use purely classic vehicles for my CSM army. It's rather fluffy. (You can also fit more of them in the same space.)
Looking forward to pics of the others.
Take a look here:
nice gift dude and very nice work on restoring that land raider.
I am an Indestructible master of War.
well it;s exactly what i am doing.. classic figure and tanks so its fluffy plus it adds some panache to an army.
thanks for the nice comments guys, the other one will be modified but without chopping the original parts.
so if finally i can start the frontal assault ramp and build those MK2b sponsons trouble is im far away from home so getting parts over here is a trouble
been to the GW overhere but the red shirts are really not helping, give me one reason more to continue to buy off ebay.
ok so here goes the lil start for the second Land raider MK1, note that on this one the pipes are to simulate the cherry bombs used in the 60s so thats why they are orange.
How's the size comparison (strictly of the main chassis) of the Oop LR to the Oop Rhino?
ill do a pic so you can see Spittle
