Quite sme time ago I converted my carnifex from biped to quadraped by ommiting the thorax and using talons as legs. This worked out ok, but the only problem was that the once towering carnifex was...a bit..ah...short. yeah. lol.
Now Ive got a new idea. I plan to buld a six legged tyrant using peices from the necrons, tyranids, and prehaps chaos ranges. I would use the Necrons destroyer body as the rear abdomin of the tyrant and glue the legs (Monstrus sything talons) into the exaust ports. Then I could mount the upper tyrant torso to the destroyer body.
I'm not sure if anyone has tried this and I would like some feedback on my idea. I still need advice on painting and stuff, so im open to ideas.
O.K. it sounds cool to me, as i was thinking of doing this, but i never have enough scyths, if you do it, i would love to see some pics, maybe put more ideas in my noggin!!!
if you are reading this signature, then you are wasting you're time, and i am wasting my time by writing it, so run along now, jimmy, run along.
firstly DON'T use any necron parts in this model nids are living creatures not mechanical, for the lower part of the body use a warhammer fantasy dragon body metal would be better for this add to the end of this the old metal tyrants tail and add the new tyrants torso to the lower body also try using a lighter to heat the scything arms at the joints & bend them into a new position trust me the effect looks cool but be warned don't hold the flame too close or on the plastic for too long as it will melt the detail so practice with the sprue bits first happy building
WARMASTER of the SCHOLA PROGENIUM Alnwick Chapter (soon to be the world)
Try getting your hands on the old Epic 40k Bio-Titans, they were quadrupped and I thing that the bigger one was hexrupped (whatever it means, lol).
For the bending the joints, I highly suggest using a Hair-Dryer set on the highest heat setting. You have to watch about doing it too long, but you will be able to tell when it is enough, and this way you dont have to worry about open flame on plastic.
About those Necron Parts, I'm only going to use the bottom half of a destoyer. I only do so cause it kind of looks like a beetle. I can add the tyrants tail to where the spine ends as well. Just FYI.
Oh, It may take some time for me to get all the parts togeather, partly because i'll have to sepcial order some. in fact, I'm off to the gw site now to have a look see.
