As many know, I am working on increasing the size of my BT army.. Well, I want to start learning how to embelish my models, in particular, the flat surfaces.
So, i am looking for ideas on good freehand patterns that aren't too detailed as to be difficult, but still something that will stand out, and fit in with Black Templars... Other than the Cross of course.
I was thinking of some free hand armor borders like painted Gilding. I just cant think of a pattern other than that of celtic design to work on (Simple Celtic design) But that seems to be overly used by the Eldar.
I also cant figure out how Hebrechts Cloak was painted on the inside as that would be a nice effect to learn to replicate... though maybe not for tanks..
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated/
I can't think of anything specifi right now (I'll post again if I do come up with something). But just in case, I'll forward you to Cool Mini or Not. There's some great stuff there, and it could help you find inspiration.
