    Boomers Iron Warriors.

    Hi Folks,

As I said I would start one in the UK meet up thread here is my Iron Warrior Army plog.

I got a S.W battle force just before Christmas but i just could not bring myself to do S.W. Their O.K but I just don’t like them so I took the box back to the store and swapped it for the Chaos battleforce. I have always liked the Iron Warriors ever since I read Storm of Iron.

Saying that, you will clearly notice my Iron Warriors are not technically correct.
They don’t have black shoulder pads and they don’t have the iron skull icon.
And my Honsou conversion has his bionic arm is on the wrong side and he should have only half a face since the other half was burnt off.

Despite the problems I’m quite pleased with how they turned out.
Sorry the pictures are not the best right, as the project progress I hope to post better ones.
    Anyway here you go,

These are some chaos ‘workmen’ types. I wanted to do a horde of civilians a while back that I could use in narrative games, these are the result. I would consider them dregs of society not even at the same level as cultists or traitor guardsmen.
There are no current rules for them so they are for now purely for display or maybe I will try making them into a Nerco gang.

    Anyway till the next update!

I really like the look of your army, and look forward to hearing and seeing more. I have a soft spot for Iron Warriors, as they really seem to me to be one of the cooler Chaos Legions.

I like them from what can be seen. They're looking very funky. More closer up pictures, please.

It doesn't matter if there are some parts that aren't technically correct. I think it adds character to your army and makes it seem more personal and unique, I add more than six limbs to my Tyranids all the time and it doesn't matter.

I think they are well done. The metal effects is good and looks smooth and cold like metal should. I like the guy with the possessed head. The big axe on the leader is cool too. You could try to use the mob of dregs as Daemons. Imagine the deepstrike is them moving out of cover. The fancy save could be some pact they made with Daemon for power so they might vainly hope to be more than dregs.

Very good work, reppy for you. You have Supernatural, I like that.

    Awesome!

I remember you saying you wanted to Iron Warriors at the meet.
Great work so far, I can wait to see them at the meet.

How was the filming of 'Boomer in Gaza'?

    Right, Iím back from Gaza!

Time for an Iron Warrior update (about time!).
Firstly I have a full time job that eats around 12 hours of my day five days a week so finding time is hard. And i still live with my girl fiends parents so Iím still paint armies on a wooden dinner tray (that is mostly covered in paint and super glue so I donít think my girl friends mum wants it back). But less moaning about how horrid my living conditions are and more pictures.
    O.k. here you go.
First up is Red team (see I paint little coloured dots on the back of the base so I know which marine is meant to be in which squad, very handy when you have 37 iron coloured marines). This squad is led by my fav champion so far, Slade the Slaughter. He is blonde and has a big chopper! He is also pretty mean looking. Iím very pleased how his hair turned out. And his axe came out looking pretty cool also. http://[IMG]http://i215.photobucket....00476.jpg/IMG]
    http://
Second is Green team, led by Raziel the Ethereal. Again his hair turned out pretty good. As you may have noticed by now Iíve been very keen to use Ork Nob parts. My Iron Warriors are ofcourse chaos marines, but I wanted to give them a more brutal look. http://

    http://

Up next is blue squad, led by Axel. No cool nick name for him, but then he doesnít need one with his bionic arm and massive axe. He was going to be my army leader but has been bumped down to make way for my lord.
    http://
    http://
And here is my Havoc squad, led by Kreglux,
    http://
And here he is, Lord Cyrus. Boasting twin lighting claws and wings, his job is to tear up lonely enemy squads and cause hell before he gets overwhelmed and killed.

    http://
    http;//
Right so that leaves my rhino and dreadnought.
The dreadnought is a venerable dreadnought conversion. I wanted it to look like a deamon has taken possession and is now allied to my Iron Warriors.
    http://

Any way there will more updates soon, as tomorrow Iím starting work on my vindicator and at the end of the month I will be getting more stuff, I think terminators but I will see. Also I just finished Chapters Due, the new Ultra marine (donít worry itís got Iron Warriors in it) and there is lots of talk of the Iron Warriors using renegade astartes as cannon folder and such so I might do a 20 strong squad of renegades making sure that each one is painted differently (well I will give it a go).

Well till next time!!! Iron Within, Iron Without!!!!!!
