Painted for a friend, unfortunately all of the high and low lights have been drowned out of the picture.....I spent 6 hours on this miniature but the pictures make it look like a half hour rush job and no amount of color correction seems to be able to fix it. I'll have better pictures up if I can figure out how to get this camera working right.
Nice work- I love Hasslefree minis, and I think your paint job looks great. Always thought this model would make a great detective.
True that. The reason I imagine detective is that I have a bunch of 40k Adeptus Arbites; their proctors always had long coats, but they are big bulky warrior types. Dionne here could lead a squad, but she doen't look like a proctor.... Hence, detective. You're right though- I'm sure Selene is what the sculptor had in mind, and your paint job is certainly evocative of the character.
I'm debating whether or not to buy another one to further work on my blending skills, as well as my faces. This miniature is fairly straight forward in palette, only needing some shades of grey and brown for the most part.....but it's so TINY that I almost dread trying to paint those eyes again.
