So, I was looking into getting a defiler to help bulk up my CSM army, and when I asked the GW employee he said that if I wanted the 2 extra CCW arms, that both need to be fabricated. Well, this is a bit of a daunting task to me, as the most fabrication I usually do is a bit of green stuff to cover gaps or create flesh over my obliterator's weapons. So, any suggestion, or anywhere I can find a tutorial on the arms would be a great help. I found one post here where someone made razor wire arms, which looked cool, but I have no idea how to make (or where to buy) razor wire. Any and all help is appreciated.
Model razor wire can normally be found in most model shops. Forge world also sell some.
Do you plan on doing a razor wire and ball thing? Just wasn't 100% sure after reading your post.

I was planning on doing just about anything for 2cc arms. I liked the razor wire look, and thought about using that for either 1 or both of the arms, if it turned out to be easier and cost effective. I would prefer to have some variety though, as I plan on eventually running 2 defilers in some of my armies. Thanks for the heads up on the razor wire, Gedderz.
The (living vehicle upgrade) flails on the sprues can be used for the additional DCCWs.
Hey there, like Spittle said there is a CCW that comes with the Defiler already. Personally, I think it looks like poop though, so I didn't use it. Instead, I ordered a Soul Grinder, which comes with two right CCW's (an organic claw and a sword, you can only use one though), and a left CCW (a large mechanical claw). I took the sword from the Soul Grinder and put it on my defiler, and that just leaves his left arm. For this, you could always order another large claw (Like his front ones) or use the whips that come with the set, or even make your own.
And, to make my Soul Grinder defiler-ish, I just ordered a battle cannon bit and threw it on him.
This is the Soul Grinder, in case you wanted to see:
well, that sounds pretty good. I also found a site to buy individual sprues, so I may be able to just get arms or legs at a price that is semi-reasonable. Also, since the living vehicle upgrade flail comes with it (is it 1 or 2 flails?) I am thinking about using some advice I got from a GW employee. Apparently if you boil the plastic it becomes malleable without destroying it. I am thinking of boiling the flail because the individual whips look like they point straight forward, and that does look a bit tacky to me. Thanks for all the help and advice everyone!
I'd heard that using a hair dryer (on the lowest setting) helps to warm plastic up so that it's more bendable...however, I don't know if this is true or not, as I haven't tried it yet.
I guess it depends on what sort of a look you're going for, but here's some suggestions:
Bendy straws are good as pipework, etc.
You can get plastic rod/tubing (or just anything cylindrical, I guess) and wrap wire round it. Alternatively, Electric Guitar strings work pretty well as steel cables and are bendable and robust (as well as being fairly long, so you feel like you're getting your money's worth out of them).
Most craft shops will sell chains (e.g. if it's a handle with weapon-heads coming off these, a bit like a morning star?) and you can seal it in place with glue (or maybe threading wire round + through it might work just as well?).
