Hi all, I hope everyone has been enjoying or has enjoyed their weekend.
I have never painted anything that was not a wall or furniture before in my life, so I thought it would be fun to try something new. Here is my first ever painting attempt, The Masque:
Suggestions and criticisms very much welcome. Be cruel, be kind, either way I'll learn from it!
I enjoyed painting her. Though I totally suck at painting skin.
Totally suck at painting skin :-D
Looks good for a first model. Best advice I can give, is try to work with thinner paint. Blending and layering, all improved from it. Keep of up the good work.
Thinner paint, check! Thanks for the suggestion!
Yup, takes practice. The consistency you want is between paint and water, like a milk-like consistency. Plus it smooths the paint job too.
Oh! Milk consistency. that helps a lot. I should probably get myself a nice eye dropper for the water. it might make things easier. I've been dripping watter off my finger >.>
Thanks Niko for your encouragement as well! Washes are awesome. Those should be like water right? Now I'm thinking I want to strip her and start over!
