Im new to the forum and this is my first post ever on any forum like this. After several years of painting and because of the fact that i'm a photographer i thought it was time i shared some of my work with other WH40k fans.
I converted this model from one of the bikes from forgeworld. I simply added some plasicard between the side part wich holds the weel and the bke itself, hereby creating a seat for the grot. I cut of the legs of the grot and adjusted the with Bo-Bex--0509.jpggBo-Bex--0510.jpgreen stuff so they were pointing forward in a sitting position. The painboy was pretty simple. I had to cut away the cloth from his clothes between his legs after which he fitted nicely on the bike. I then used an arm from the normal bikers (had some left over from the forgeworld nob bikers set which holds all the parts for the normal bikers too). I tend to drop my models from time to time (how i love plastic miniatures :p) so the needle had to go or it wouldnt last long anyway. I replaced it with a broken drill from GW which can NEVER bend. Bo-Bex-4903.jpgBo-Bex-4901.jpgI still have to glue it in place so its not entirely straight on the pics. The painboy isnt glued yet either and the grot wont be glued on so i can remove it in play when needed.
I hope you like it

Very nice. But he's too clean. A painboy needs blood and gore all over him.

Yeah i've thought about adding blood too but i was worried it would mess up the detail in the white. The only clothes i could put blood on are the glove, the face thingie and the thing around his other arm. I think i might add blood on those then but in small lines and smudges so i can keep the detail on the white cloth.
