Looking for ideas for my nurgle baneblade tank. I run a pre heresy death guard style paint job. With some alternatives in the shoulder pads. Now for that back info I was under the impression that baneblades are imperial guard, So im figuring that the baneblade is part of a nurgle renegade force. I modeled it with the forgeworld death Korps of kreig tank commander in one of the hatches and am considering outting together a force to go along with the tank. So any idea's on the nurgle bane blade paint scheme. thanks
Well actually during the heresy and the crusade, the SM Legion had a equivelent to the baneblade (cant remember its name, it ended with blade..) that had exactly the same equipment as a regular IG baneblade. So you could probably get away with giving it a SM tank commander and painting it in the Legion's colours (Unpainted with green trim, although i have no idea what unpainted baneblades would look like. Come to think of it.. what colour would unpainted power armour be? Because it is said that the DDeath Guard had unpainted armour but with green trim. Wow iv only just realised that this bracket is going on for to long, im gonna have to stop it here.).
However if you want to keep with the traitor guard allies theme then you should probably paint it using a mixture of greens, yellows and browns. Hell throw in some purple in there to.
Hope that helps.
Sometimes the best defense is a good offense... Wait, what?
Its called the fellblade. I've dreamnt about putting chronus in their...
As far as I know nurgle are just green, brown and disgustin; which also fits with renegade guard. I'm not sure about the deathguard scheme but basically, if you want it to stand out paint it a different scheme. If you want it to fit in with you army then paint it their scheme. A compromise can also be reached by painting say your insignia on it but with different shceme. Just go mental, its a superheavy
I would use a combination of Greenstuff and Roughcoating on the nurgle baneblade.
When i am financially set, i am going to make a slannesh or tzeentch baneblade. probably slannesh, do a ALOT of converting, a BIG sonic weapon on top, representing the same tech our military uses (same area effect too)

Keep in mind, there is the awesome Plaguereaper, which is the Baneblade specific to Nurgle. I don't know how 'pre' your army is, but the fleshy scheme shown off in pictures in just about every 5th ed. codex of this thing could work quite well alongside a white DG scheme.
