hoi, has anyone an idea on the colors used on the XV9 from forgewolrds site.
It's nice, but i don't recognise the colors in them.
This is my thought...
1- undercoat white
2- basecoat with mix of dehneb stone and taucept ochre foundation paints (or use kommando khaki, I'm not sure)
3- wash with devlan mud (?)
4- paint the dark brown pannels with scorched brown, highlight with snakebite leather
5- highlight with lots of layers of kommando khaki, mixing in bleached bone (?)
6- weathering with MIG pigments, it looks like
Please try the scheme on a fierwarrior or something like that, cuz the XV9 is a great model, and again, I'm not 100%.
What he said. Definitely basecoat in white. Other than that, looks like light-colored "earth" tones. Combinations of Kommondo Khaki, Bleached Bone, possibly Graveyard Earth, etc. The darkest spots look like Scorched Brown or something similar.
