After a long drought I've finally mustered the energy to finish my Captain. Here I have him armed with a relic blade/combi-melta. The body is from one of the Chapter master models with limited work done to it. Basically, I clipped off the hand holding the sword and attached a combi-melta. Next, I used a power weapon from the terminator captain model and attached it to a tactical marine arm. Finally, I greenstuffed scales onto the cloak.

looks really good. Then again all your salamanders look good. Your painting is really smooth and the high lighting works really well
Repainting Orks not sure how many points yet
Warriors of Chaos shelved until further notice
It looks great, really good actually. Gives me inspiration.
Really good use of a model I really hate (that master of the recruits model makes me die a little everytime I see it), good paint job although I am not a huge fan of the gloss varnish I have to say, but thats personal preference.
Have a little reppage
Thanks for the comments everyone. It helps a lot to improve.
@MrDee - I know what you mean about about the shininess. I think I'll hit it will some Dullcote. I've actually never used gloss varnish. I need to improve my lighting since I use a lot of washes and combining that with my lighting it makes my models a little shiny.
Aside from the shininess that others have mentioned, he looks great. The red sword suits the contrast with the green armour. Nice work on the scales as well.
I was wondering how you were going to top that awesome drop pod...
