Well, this past week the French held their very own Gamesday. I heard some had problems getting there, due to the volcanic ash, but judging by these images it wasn't at a loss of quality.
Haekel & Jaeckel
My favorite has to be the group of Dwarves about to 'fend' of an attack XD Great scene that was!
Cheers for the images Kuffy =D
Probably would have been better if I understood French, but...
I was most impressed by the dead skeletal terminator with the source lighting from that little lamp beside it. That's something i'm gonna have to try out one of these days.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams
Some really impressive entires here.
@odinsgrandson: Probably has to do with the painting scene Rackham helped to establish some years ago, since Confrontation was huge in southern Europe and Rackham inspired all their players to try NMM. Generally the further south you go the more NMM you see (the Italians really love it as well).
I liked Kaneda the best,
Really awesome model!
Arch Overfiend & Grand Despot
I currently play:
Doom Eagle Space Marines
Hive Fleet Omega Tyranids
Goff Ork Boyz(dead)
Tau of O'me
Inquisitorial Xeno Hunters
and my attempted foray into fantasy
'Dark Angel Green' Dark Elves in need of fluff
I know they cut down on how many Games Days they have over on our side of the Atlantic, are there fewer in Europe too? If so, these minis probably represent a larger group congregating at the one spot (ultimately, more high quality entries and an especially competitive Golden Daemon).
There's one in France, one in Italy, one in Germany and one in Russia IIRC. Oh and UK of course, all spread out across the year. There are also loads of freelancing painters in France and Italy who are regulars on GD and who work for different companies as painters. Corvus Belli, producers of Infinity, have several French and Italian painters on their team, some who used to work for Rackham.
