Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have not painted s.m. before as I tend to find them dull, but I was given a couple of spares that a mate had to mess about on. What do people think of this as a scheme? there is no name as yet. thoughts, criticism, suggestions all welcome as I may be tempted to do a few more if they go down well! or maybe try a change if not...
Not a bad scheme. Kind of a difficult color scheme to paint with all the white... but it looks striking. Paint wise... your highlight transitions are pretty harsh. I would probably mix a few more layers and thin the paint to blend it a bit smoother. Also when prepping the figures I would recommend cleaning the mold lines. Nice posing of the figures though.

Your color scheme is lovely. Just thin your paints a bit more.. that's the main issue people seems to have when it comes to painting miniatures.
I agree, great painting, just the shading effects are too harsh and not blending into eachother so it looks natural.
Other then that, keep up the good work ( I like the scheme)
cool, thanks for suggestions, I shall try watering down further. The grey lining of the helmet of the kneeling dude is very obvious in the photos, but I wanted to highlight without changing the primary black of the helmet... perhaps the grey should be darker as well? This is the first white scheme i've used (usually a DE purple or WH black), and I realise what a pain in the a**e it is to get a decent and smooth white. Full credit to the people who can do it well! I will keep trying!
I think everything looks good apart from the shoulder pads, they looks a bit boring and aren't painted to the same standard as the rest of the mini.
Good work, I like that colour scheme you have there. I think the light brown works very well as a contrast to the black and white. I suggest that you deal with the mouldlines that are still visible here and there. They will bring down the standard of your army.
