I recently recieved a job lot of ogres and part of the lot was an iron rhinox. I've decided that I wil convert one of my tyrants into Ghark Ironskin.
I've never done a conversion before let alone with a metal model so any tips will be appreciated.
I'm guessing I'll need to use a saw to get the legs off?
If you have a tough enough pair of sidecutters you could hack the legs off in manageable chunks but this would leave the legs unusable.
Other tips? Pinning and greenstuff sculpting will take care of everything else.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Hmm, I'm beginning to think using a bull for the body may be a better idea. Can always use a tyrant's head and arms if i want to.
I'd definately suggest to use a plastic body. I'd probly go with an Irongut's body because it will be easier to cut and convert in the long run. I'd find out what pieces the tyrant comes in before you buy one. But if possible, go with the tyrant's parts, but make sure you pin them well to the plastic body.
Well I currently have 3 tyrants, 2 of which are unconstructed so i can certainly mix and match parts. Bits that don't quite match I can hopefully use a bit of GS to make up the difference. I will post my results.
Not really thought about it much yet. I need to go through all my bitz to see what i have.
