I am gonna be using the VDR for creating a Tau Jetbike based on Kaneda's bike in Akira.

This is for a game of Death Race. Would a twin linked burst cannon be a bit much for this sort of thing (TL st5 ap5 assault3). And is the idea a bit much?

Yeah, it's okay, as it won't classify as a bike in the rules, only in the way it looks, just like it is with a Vyper. I can imagine a Vyper with that sort of weapon, so sure, why not?

Hmm, maybe a vyper isn't tau-y enough... Hmm?

Just a suggestion, why not try using the new tau vehicle thingie-thing from forge-world and adding them to that?

If you don't have enough cash for forgeworld <as if anyone DOES> try the normal eldar jetbike and add grooves and patterns like on the hammerhead? Then you could add a little platform on the end like in the hammerhead/devilfish. In fact, then you could add sum atenna...

it would still look cool though! yeah, vyper tau....wicked!

Well.. i cannot afford FW but i will be getting a Spacemarine Bike to help base the idea..

if you want a better look.. imagine this guy being replaced with a tau Path Finder.

Take the wheels from the SM bike squad and smooth it out to be round with some of that green goo stuff. Then stick the wheels on the vyper and paint it up. Although the wheels might not be big enough.

Here are some steps I found searching around on google. I think it looks similar to Kaneda's bike. A little bit more tweaking and it could look exactly like it. Good luck >CLICK HERE<

sorry to revive this one but I just re-found the picture i wanted to show ya..there's a picture of what you're looking for here i think..it's made from an ork bike, and SM bike, and some Eldar jetbike bits plus some green stuff work.. http://www.microartstudio.com/studio.html

It's under the SM section..I bet if you turn the wheels so that they're laying horizontal and put them in the same placve they're in now it would look like a hoverbike..

another design you may want to look at is the Vulture hoverbike from starcraft...pictured here http://www.scraftghost.net/gallery/shots.p...2&frpg=2&f=#pic
