Afternoon all, currently im working on a Lizardman Slann Mage-priest and due to how the hole in the platform he sits on for the flying stand was made, i chose to greenstuff the platform he sits on onto the square base in the box. Now as he is it looks ok but what i would like to do is add tall grass of varying sizes around the base so that it looks like he is hovering just above the ground and moving forward. Ive had a look on the internet and i can't relly find anything that fits what im after, so i was wondering if anyone else has found a site that sells something i might be interested in using.
Thanks for any help.

Get several different colors and mix them up a little bit. Use primarily one color with a little bit of another color mixed in. Grass dies or becomes dry but it doesn't happen all at the same time. So to make grass that's just starting to dry out you'd use green with a little bit of tan. If you're trying to make grass that's dried out completely and is starting to die use primarily tan with a little bit of brown.
Ah, stuff looks good, just need to find a uk supplier
Actually scratch that, just found this http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...Id=prod1830001 think i'll try em first.

Those are almost the same as aquarium plants. I would go to a pet store first. IMO that GW price is insane. The equivalent in aquarium plants would cost you about ten TIMES less.
just a word of advice, if you go with the hair-like ones that I posted, use white glue.
Well i realised this morning that there's an independant stockist i know of who might sell the tall grass, or at least order it in. Would PVA glue be ok?
PVA=White Glue=school glue=woodworkers glue=Elmers glue
You can use old and worn out brushes to make tall grass. Mix a little PVA glue and water together and apply it to the base of the bristles of the brush but not the tips. When dry cut the bristles off and glue them to the base. They can be painted up like tall grass, reeds etc.
