Now I've got my new camera I've been busy taking picture of my Archangels. For now I'll leave you with pictures of my Venerable dreadnought which I'm hoping to enter into my first Golden Daemon in September providing I can get it up to standard.
I still need to figure out what and how I'm going to stick on the scrolls, as well as attack the model with weathering powder. I'm also in the process of painting a traitor guardsman to stick in the CC arm.
I'll also get some pictures of my Vanguard Veterans when I visit my local store over the weekend.
That is quite the bad-ass looking dread. Kudos and Rep!
Its still abit blurry, but this give you a better idea of what it looks like.
Gotta pay attention to mold lines and seams if you want to win or even place in a golden deamon..
The mold line is evident on the right leg of the dread at the knee joint. The seams are evident on the barrels of the gun.. you have to use filler and sand it smooth.
Also, you will need to watch the edging lines you use.. black is hard to highlight right, but a golden Demon would use blending techniques, or they will go with very crisp edging using different shadess of grey.
Just saying. I think it looks nice as it is, but If it continues this route, I don't see it being a Golden Demon.
sorry, just my 2 cents.
I do give you props on the emporer, I am surprised you found a picture that you could add to it and make it look like it was painted on rather than injet and pasted.
As promised. Here is a pic of the Van Guard Vets that lead the charge with the chapter master.
The vets look fantastic! I especially like the wings, truly fitting of the Archangels. The dread looks interesting, but I would like to see the decal of the emperor! New pictures?
Update on the dreadnought, I've spent the evening writing the text on its back. Pics below, I've also had another shot at trying to get a close up of the emperor decal for you.
