I've been a member of the forum for a while, and realized that I haven't really shared any of my work. I just thought I'd see what you all thought about some of my Ork Loota conversions I did a few months ago. A friend of mine gave me some of his spare Eldar vehicle weaponry bits, and I used Ork bits and green stuff to try to give the impression that some Boyz looted some Eldar transports, ripped off their weapons and affixed them in whatever way possible. C&C please!
Lovely conversions. I bet they will look excellent when painted. Thanks for the pics.
Jager bombs. Very efficient at wiping out friend or foe.
These are really cool! I especially like loota #6. He just screams "awesome!" A couple of the ones in the middle look a little unbalanced with the amount of weaponry they are carrying on the outside of one arm, but what Ork isn't a bit unbalanced, so to speak? Overall, they are imaginative and well-executed and really come off as absurdly dangerous to anyone who crosses them.
Thank you all for the kind words! I was pretty happy with them especially because I really didn't do any planning, I just had at them and started trying to see how the various Eldar guns fit together, and then tried to see how they'd fit on the Boyz. Haha, the one holding the rocket with the two cannons tied to his arm (Loota #4) probably wouldn't be able to support its weight but I was really going for bad-ass over realistic lol.
I didn't even know if some of the bits were weapons (especially the stuff on Loota #6), but I wasn't too worried about it. Orks could probably find some way to shoot some projectile out of anything. Thanks again. I also may as well mention that after I was done with these I had about 20 little nicks from my knife all over my hands, and most of my digits were covered in super glue
