Hey there potential modelling gods of LO,
I'm a modelling noob myself and after enthusiastically buying the FB Ork Battle regiment set (30 euro for 19 Orks, and ALOT of bits).
I decided to make them Ork kommandos and the left over will be converted in Nobz.
but the FB bases are (ugly) and square, and I need round bases. Is there a way to make them yourself (cheap) and gaming-legal. I wont be entering any tournament but I don't want to cheat with smaller and/or bigger bases etc.
atm I have:
Cardboard (both thick and thin)
2 part epoxy putty (greenstuff I guess)
those big square bases.
I'd prefer to stick with this stuff as I already it and it's cheap or free. But i can buy other stuff if really really realllyyyy needed.
I was thinking about sanding/cutting the big squares into those 40mm round bases, but that is a a lot of work I guess and I'm a tad lazy.
soo anyone willing to help me out?
Thank you for reading and the help.
Craft stores like Micheals or possibly a home improvement store will have these little wooden circles in a bag that might be the right size. You could try those. Alternately, if you have access to a Mitre saw or Band saw with a guide attachment you could cut them yourself out of an appropriately sized wooden dowel.
