Yes it is that time of the year. DMC posts pictures of something he's painted (what is it, 4 months since last time? )!
(This is not a specific denial or anything, but I have never started a Deathwing army nor started a blog for them. In case you were wondering)
This time around I'll show you my Kamau hacker for the sci-fi skirmish game Infinity.
Infinity embraces many of the classic themes of cyberpunk and one of them is the evolution of the internet, that almost everything is "online". In Infinity information warfare takes the form of combat hacking where hackers try to disable enemy weapons and equipments and interfering with their information flow.
(this lil' thing is my go at freehanding a tiny PanOceania emblem, the symbol of this faction)
Hacker miniatures for Infinity are supplied with a transparent plastic sheet showing different "hacking protocols" in action (Infinity has shiny holographic interfaces! ). These are practical in game terms and look kinda cool when not examined too closely, but are problematic when taking display photos. I have included a photo to show you how they look.
Here's a pic of the Kamau next to a regular Fusilier from PanOceania that I painted up some time ago, mainly as a colour scheme and base tester. I'll probably repaint parts of this Fusilier in the future.
So, there you have it. I started work on this model quite a few months ago and only painted it now and then. And now it's finished! I have also discovered that my camera sucks at taking such detailed photos of small objects. Grr.
I tell ya, it's well worth waiting for your stuff. Kind of a weird looking mini but the paint job is quite wonderful. Nice work on the glowing thing on the base!
Thanks guys, much appreciated.
*edit* lousy forum...
