Welcome to Librarium Online!
hello, i'm a space wolves player and use a single unit TWC in my army. i'm currently using a unit of converted bikers, but with the new juggernauts of khorne out, do you think they are a good option for converting them. they've got the right base size, and if you remove or hide those marks on the leg you can't see any signs of chaos dedication on the model.
they wouldn't be very cheap, but certainly not expensive.
do you think they would be tournament allowed??
personaly i think the bloodcrushers are a little to icon, furthermore the only thing they really have incommon w/ wolves is that they have four legs and sharp teeth. you'de might as well use the giant lizard riders (dark elf cold ones) if your going to do so much exstensive remodeling, their cheaper i belive.
However i persoanly think the Vampire counts Dire Wolves wold be best, there plenty big enough i think and you chould just paint the rotting flesh parts of the model robotic with some gun metal and a heavy wash of badab black, add some guitar wire and left over machine bits and i think you'de have some awsome mounts. you might also look into the Wargs from the LOTR line or the goblin wolf riders they might be too small so id suggest asking your local fantasy gamers about the model sizes.
Could you understand the beauty of the beast?
I don't know about anything of the fantasy wolves, but wargs are most definitely too small.
I would expect the fantasy wolves also to be too small though...
I remember seeing a TWC made from a juggernaut (on of the metal ones) it looked good, needs green stuff fir tho
Or you could try this chap oin the states
Mr.Dandy sculpture design, toys model kits and art figures - WarGamma Battle Wolves
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
I've just looked at these wolves and they are nice but will GW allow them?
I've used Chaos Hounds for my Fenrisian wolves and with a little green stuff they have come out really smart. As to the Vampire models I don't think they'll be large enough as Thunder Wolves are meant to be giants not pets.
