You could make large bullet holes and paint it green around the hole to make it look like it has acid blood. You could also melt it to make it look like it just got zapped by a plasma cannon.

yeah, just make some holes and either red or green blood, maybe cut it up a bit.

You could try getting some plastic glue and thinning it down with a nice bright green (or whatever colour you want) before drilling a hole and filling it with the stuff.

there's an article on the US GW site on making battle damaged marine armour, one of them is tyranid acid corrosion. Anyway, it would look authentic to have the metal of the tank corroded slightly,especially where 'nid trophies have been strung up.
