After wondering what to do with some spare death company and space wolf sprue's, my local store told me that Octobers painting competition would be a duel based theme.
So here's the first half of my duel scene, a member of the death company jumping into a space wolf. All be it not assembled and I still need to do the extreme highlights.
I don't think the pic bring out how nice the model is, although you can't see it, the gems have been shaded and glossed and there is a fine dark grey highlight on the black.
Looking forward to seeing these two fight to the death..
5000 pts of WoC, 5000 pts of Orcs and now 3000 pts of Ogres...What was I thinking ????
Just about finished the Space Wolf, I'd post pictures but lighting conditions are even worse than before. Hopefully the whole thing should be finished and being assembled by the weekend

the blood angle is lacking "rage" in the pose perhaps its the helmet

Realy like what you did with the blood angels sword, all in all, looks good altho i do have to agree a bit with jonojoe, it would look even better if the blood angel did not have a helm on
I did think about having him without a helmet on, but i didnt really want them both the be without a helmet, looking back though i think it would have looked that little bit better
I really like it. I am with jonojoe the BA is great but leaves something to be desired. I might have possed this with a two handed over the head slice pose. Other than that the the pose for the SW is perfect for the scene, and the painting is great.

What do your highlight your black with? It is nice and subtle.
