Hey, all! I'm a new Nid player and I just finished painting one of my more significant models, the Mawloc, in the color scheme I plan on using for the rest of the models. Constructive criticism is desired!
This is the Mawloc of Hive Fleet OmNomNom!

Thoughts? Questions? Any contructive criticism is appreciated!
i LIke the scheme. i think it needs a sepia wash on the flesh.
and take the flash off when you take the photos, a tripod or a stack of books will help you get a steady shot. a 1-2 second delay on the shutter will help eliminate the camra shake too

And the flash on a camera is good for lighting up a room when you want a quick snapshot, but it's way, waaaaaaaay too much for model shots like this.
A pair of simple lights (dirt cheap desk lamps will work just fine here) with neutral lights (5000K CFL bulbs put out a lovely pure white) should be all you need for better photos. Set up one as an overall (usually overhead) flood light, and use the other to light the specific facing of the model you're shooting. Ought to give you good, even lighting without washing things out.
EDIT: Oh, yeah - welcome to LO! Looking forward to the rest of the army!
Agreed with the other posters. I like your strong chitin highlight, it's very visually striking.
