Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm picking up an AoBR set with a friend, but I want to play Space Wolves as my first army. Would one of those boxes that makes Blood Claws, Grey Hunters or Wolf Guards have enough spare bitz after assembling the figures to convert them all (or at least the Tactical Squad into Grey Hunters and the Termies to Wolf Guard Termies)?
Banner by me.
The AoBR models are all a bit different then the standard GW model's you could swap some arms around on the termies if you get the wolf guard termie box. And the wolf pack box to make blood claws / grey hunters has backpacks you could switch and some hanging wolf tails, knives you could use on the AoBR marines. Then the right paint job and some of the SW decals and they would look rather wolfie.
There is a Space Wolves conversion kit you can order from GW too, isn't there? With some pelts and heads with braids and beards...
I imagine that you will probably have enough bits to make it work... if not then it probably won't be long before you pick up another box of wolfy goodness..?
No, they don't have a SW conversion kit unless I missed it, which I don't think I did. The online catalogue is generally pretty complete. :p They do have a 30-piece bit kit for $12, but it seemed that I'd do better picking up a Space Wolf Pack instead because I would get more minis and lotsa bitz.

Aha! Right, not a conversion kit, they call it an "accessories frame"
Plus some shoulder pad bits...
I heard Grey Knights are getting the next 40K make-over... wonder if Wolves are up soon?
