I just started an IG army, and I was looking for some painting help. I am trying to find out the color of the Games Workshop Kasrkin 'lightning camo', the one they have posted on their website, but to no avail. If anyone has ever done that color before or knows the specific color mixture to use, that would be of great help. Thanks in advance : )
If you look at the Kasrkin models on the GW website, they have Catachan Green carapace armor with camo green highlights, and Kommando Khaki fatigues with probably some darker brown ink or the like to give it some detail.
That is all i know so far. =)
the camouflage pattern ? i think it's bleached bone and terracotta
I believe it is a more orange colour than terracotta for the lightning camo, otherwise the bleached bone is correct.
GLORY TO THE DICE GODS!
The Green carapace armour is (according to the guy who wrote "painting citadel miniatures") Catachan green, highlighted with Knarloc Green.
The uniform is khemri brown, with a heavy wash of Ogryn Flesh. Then highlighted up using mixes of Khemri brown and Bleached bone, but I prefer to swap the bleached bone out for a Dheneb Stone mix.
(Out of interest I am currently painting an Imperial Guard Officer up and I'll put it into my "workbench" thread shortly).
