im but a humble warhammer fantasy player come here to plead with you wise brillient painters on how best to paint stone walls and wooden fences
if there is a better place to post this im very sorry
but it would really make my day to not have to paint another 100 Green Skins without something different to paint.....please help me oh wise painters i want to get it right first time
Pretty easy - I use a little ink with the base paint to help sink into the recesses. Some basic dark brown ink works wonders added to any color - even grey for stone. Then a drybrush highlight to accent the raised areas and it will come out great!
Walls: black undercoat. Heavy drybrush of adeptus battle grey. Medium drybrush of codex grey, light drybrush of fortress grey. Finally a very watered own wash of devlin mud to add tonal variations.
Wooden fences: Paint charadon granite, Drybrush with Khemri brown, light drybrush of desert yellow. Wash with devlin mud and water 50%.
