So. Duke Sliscus. Everyone's favourite high risk, high reward, devil-may-care, epic narcissist of the Dark Eldar.
GW really missed a trick in not releasing a model for him...
But this isn't a rant, this is an idea thread. So...
The Duke is described as being well dressed, and this was the major problem in finding a model to base him on. I'm adequate, but not amazing at conversions, and this is to be my first kitbash.
So, a 40k scale model that looks well dressed, preferably with two swords? An Empire captain, with the scarf of a Renaissance fop? Nope. Here is my idea, using this model, replacing the head with a DE one of some description, using some kind of epoxy for a cape, and adding a pistol to his side.
Amon Hen: Aragorn (1 figure) | Games Workshop
(For those outside of the UK for whom the link may not work, it is the "Amon Hen: Aragorn" model from the LotR range )
Not what you expected, really, is it? I found what seems to be a good start, to paraphrase the movies "in the most unlikely place imaginable".
I'd like to hear the communities view on this before I launch into it completely unprepared... I am ready to have many ideas bounced off of me... hard

don't the lotr ranges have dcompletely different model sizes? and were you planning to change the sword too, there are not very DE'y.
Ah, well........hmmm. Maybe..... LOLOriginally Posted by Shas'o_Longshot
I used Lokhir Felhart from Warhammer Fantasty with a Achron Head to get that medal on medal apoxy. Also it was fairly easy to file the front squid looking thing off his chest. I then glued some grenades on his waist and he comes with two swords of different lengths, I cut the smaller one off, and replaced it with one from the whyches box. Just to kick it up the drive, I ordered a Corsairs banner kit from Horde o bits, and put the banner with a dragon "S" as the standard. The flag is big enough to either free hand something or just stick a large transfer on. Tried to take a picutre but it did not turn out so well. Oh and take a pin vice to were you want to stick the head, much easier to get that new head to stick in there right.
Well if you're up for a bit of conversion work I believe that common consensus was that Sliscus was inspired by this fine gent.
Personally, I've been thinking about a Sliscus based off of Graverobber
from Repo: The Genetic Opera. The white makeup, the randomly dyed strands of hair, maybe more random belts and straps. He could even do double duty as a Harlequin.

I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

Rules for grenades are on page 72 of the rulebook.
I converted mine from the following:
Harlequin Shadowseer model (for the main part of the model).
Dark Elf Warrior spears bitz (for the blades).
Dark Eldar (old) Scourge Splinter Cannon bit (makes a unique blast pistol).
I'll put a pic up soon-ish.
