The other half was good enough to grab me a copy of Space Hulk when it was re-released, but before now, I was terrified to paint the models because I didn't want to make a pigs-ear of them.
I've finally grew a pair though, and I've painted up a test model, and was eager to get some thoughts and criticism before I start painting the rest of the lads. I'm yet to add any battle damage, as I don't have any Dark Flesh which I tend to use when I do battle damage on red Dark Angels weapons. So once I pick some up next week I'll make him look a little grimier.
Any thoughts on what may need improvements would be very welcome. Thanks for looking dudes
They look great! Are you going to put them onto terminator bases to be played in 40k, or keep just for space hulk?
Thanks Jaileint, I really appreciate it. I think I'm probably going to keep them on the same bases. I play Dark Angels in 40k, and am currently storing my Space Hulk miniatures in that Battle Foam Space Hulk tray. I just need to find something nice to do with the bases now... I haven't looked for inspiration in that respect, been focussing too much on the mini itself. I plan on having a little look around later on this evening to figure out something nice to do with the bases.
Thanks again man,
(oh btw, I know there are Space Hulk minis that are painted a million times better than this guy, but if anyone does have a desire to know any of the painting techniques I used then let me know chaps)
Really nice. I've been working on mine as well but apparently I'm a lot slower than you are. Most of my genestealers are done but I only have a couple of the marines finished.
I really like that you're damaging the armor. I'll probably be doing more of that when I get to the bulk of my terminators.
