Welcome to Librarium Online!
I understand that halberds look a fair bit different from spears, they have an axe like bit attached to them or something. Anyway, the main parts I have are skeleton sprues and dark elf sprues, both of which have spears on them. What would be the easiest way to make them clearly halberds?
I have nearly finished Sylvania crossbowmen out of dark elves and skeletons, making dead elves for the army, and I am nearly onto the halberdiers. They look pretty cool, lots of extra stuff like wounds and arrows through them.
You can either take Black Guard halberds, Empire halberds or halberds from the old chaos box. They still have those halberds in the old chaos box?
Don't think you can convert something into halberds from the skeleton and dark elf boxes.
You could even take grey knight 40k halberds and try them, although they'd require quite a bit of conversion to look suitably ancient. Or, just search for pictures of halberds on the net and then get the right shaped blade, and stick it on a polearm(basically a stick)
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.

Damn, I thought I might be able to just from the dark elf spears... They have very long blades and don't really look much like a spear or a halberd.
I don't really want to buy a whole box of empire or something just for the weapons, thats why I wanted to convert them with something.
Hey you don't have to buy the whole box set.
It is possible to buy the bitz you need from GW.
Shoulden't be a problem.
