and i have to make it look a lot khornier (sorry thats a weird word)
any ideas - this is for the painted army i am doing for a mate!
maybe on a base of skulls or maybe weilding a khornate chain axe?

There's an excellent inquisitor chainaxe you can use for khorne, look in the chain weapons pack. You could try stretching greenstuff skin on the flat surfaces, as this is common in Khorne things, and then putting a necklace of skulls or something on it, and then stick possibly the bloodthirster or juggernaught head instead of the basic one. Also, you could melt plastic off the hands or any overhanging surfaces, and paint it like blood. Then it would look like blood is dripping off the prince.
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.

Base of skulls? i tried that, it's too much effort, too much money, and won't look good enough...
Try stealing a minotaur-thingie-lordie-thing axe, the half-moon one, and give him something to rip up, like sqeualing imperials on his base...

Try putting the berzerker horns on his head instead of the normal ones he has. You could even switch his head to one of the defiler ones (you know which one I mean if you've seen it) and put bezerker horns on that. You'd have to make some out of plasticard and/or greenstuff to get them big enough.
One of my friends has a daemon prince of khorne. It Has dripping fangs and a space marine stuck on his sword. Even though an axe would have been better, it still looks very bloody and khornish.
Get a spare space marine or IG and cut a slot big enough through his stomach.
put green stuff around the slot to cover it up. paint it red and with a bit of gloss if you have any.
You could put his arms, head and legs in a suitibly agonised or dying position, like dropping his bolter etc.

Hmm a very nice prospect there.
Give him a chainaxe, there is nothing better than that... it's real khornish (funnyword alert!
Absolutely the guy has to have wings right? If it is the model I'm thinking of then even has premade "slots" to fit them in. Just drop out the backpack exhausts and pop some wings on there.

I WAS IN THE IMPERIAL (Norwegian) GUARD!
It's spelled Khornate. Khornate Daemons. Khornate looks. Khornate Deamon Prince.khornier
I can only second the ideas mentioned above.
You could give it the old bloodthirster head, that might look good. But if I was painting an army for a friend, I'd do no conversions. It takes too much time, and he could have converted them himself before he gave them to you..
Ave Dominus Nox!
I made mine On a scenic base, the setting is winter Four black templars dead in pools of blood, and the Fifth One aiming his bolter to a black Armoured Daemon Prince, holding the Seargent's head In one hand And A blood covered Dark blade in the other.
I filed of the Eye of Horus on the Shoulder pad and sculpted a World Eater Insignia instead (Y) . Now I a thinking about replacing the sword with a suitable axe If I find a good replacement to represent "Berzerkers Clavie"
Convert the LoC staff (preferably the older one) into the Beserker Glaive.
Sorry, just noticed that this was a really old one. Hope you did well on your army.
