ive been thinking about doing a pre herasy army and space marines are to obvious choice so i thought about legio custoeds it would be a good idea.
i need thoughts and idea on what models to use ive thought maybe use grey knights and other parts from differnt armys like IG and SM

The Custodian Guard arent exactly space marines, they're stronger, bigger and better. But for all purposes, grey knight models will do as a basis.
These are probably the best ways to convert them
Paint them gold with a wash of brown or chestnut ink.
Use high elf helmets slightly modified with green stuff.
see if you can get some of the old Bolter/Halberds, but it doesnt really matter.
I dont know where youd get the rules from though. Check out this link for more ideas, it might have some rules on the same site.

first thing is spelling:
its not "herasy" its heresy and its custodes not "custoeds"

and second thing is that i think that space marines would do god for a basis or if you have the $$$ you can buy a box of both and combine them and add lots of decoration and embellishment

i'm doing a custodes themed iron hands army thats looking promising

Actually, on the US Games workshop site, they used plastic Warhammer chaos warriors as a base. Cause the armour looks aheaps archaic and such. This army turned out very well, though one of the dreadnoughts looks a little crap.

Boy don't you start correcting anyone if you can't even capitalize the first letter of your sentences.

Since IT'S cool do correct people I'll correct you: It's not $$$, it's cash. It's not its, it's its or something...

If you can use basic grammar rules don't go correcting people. Ass.

For the legion I'd suggest the same thing Legion said, it's gonna be hard to convert but if done right it should give a good look to your army.

Custodes are the same as grey knights rules wise. It costs a lot of money but thius would look sweet:

Custodes Captain [GK GM]
Brother Captain Stern and Tyrion's helm

Custodes Terminators [GK termies]
GK termies with high elf heads

Custodes Elite Squads [GKs]
GK squads with high elf heads and Marneus Calgar's backpack

Custodes Squads [SMs]
SM tactical squad [leader with calgars backpack]

Land Raider Crusader

Dreadnaught [FW GK one]
Signature?

I've already made 3 'budget' custodes marines, using only standard space marines and a little green stuff. Im currently working on a plasma gunner and the squad sergeant (who is more heavily converted).

Here's the first three:

The Legio Custodes are quite the force to try and build, they're similar in idea to a Space Marine but overall a Custode could pound a Space Marine down pretty easily, the difference between Custodes and Space Marines is almost as bad as the difference between Space Marines and Humans. They're especially nasty if you go by the 2nd ed. description, they were completely naked and wielded a staff, and were still more than a match for Space Marines.

But if you go for conversion some of the Warhammer Fantasy soldiers would work as a good basis as their armour is quite ornate in some cases.
