Hey can anyone give a guide on how to paint orange and blonde hair for my space wolves. Thanks Jhordan
I generally start with bestial brown and work up to vomit brown mixing in a little orange as I go before a final glaze of red. For blondes ignore the orange and glaze and add a final highlight of bleached bone.
Hope this helps

Muse2k8's Painting Antics (WIP and Finished Models thread)
I find an excellent, top quality way to paint Space Wolf hair was found in the October 2009 White Dwarf.
What you do is paint the hair Bestial Brown and then layer on Blazing Orange. Then, give the hair two washes of Ogryn Flesh, then follow by applying a highlight of Dwarf Flesh on each hair strand. Then final highlight of Bleached Bone was applied. To finish it off glaze the hair with Baal Red. Sounds wacky, but it turns out really well.
It's not a fiery orange, a more... in between red and blonde colour. It's good for variety.
As the upshot seems to be, I find the best way is to start with a basecoat of Bestial Brown, then I usually paint it successively lighter working from Blood Red -> Blazing Orange -> Fiery Orange painting even less each time so that you're basically highlighting it and then highlighting the highlights. Easier than it sounds and looks great, you get a kind of 'fire' effect on the hair which is basically my favourite thing to do with painting (all 8000 points of my black and red Eldar models have it on them somewhere).
