About a week or two ago, I bought myself some Grey Knight Terminators to act as my deathwing 'command' squad as I love their models but not their army/fluff. But in the few games I've fielded them instead of my usual 'command' squad I've felt that now my Belial model is lacking in with his rather 'humble' appearance and normal TDA compared to that of the GKT he was running around with.
So today the GW I frequent finally had Draigo in stock (actually been expecting this, so had been keeping an eye out for the past week or so), picked one up and did a quick kitbash conversion to fix the problem.

That's the new Belial next to my old one, counting the halberd as just a 'Heavenfall Blade' of sorts that just counts as a thunderhammer. In the background is my Librarian which I finally put together a earlier in the week as well, and the other picture is the GKT 'command' squad.
There's a little more converting I should do to Draigo, mainly in the exchanging of all the small icons from GK to DA... but I'm sorta lazy and I figure the large shield DA icon is mostly 'nuff said'.
edit: a little annoyed by that bit in the background so retook picture of conversion. (empire winged reaper standard for later standardbearer swap-out) also, still holding my breath on a finecast version of the terminator chaplain.
Looks good, cant wait to see him painted. Why you gave him a halbert though?Cool factor?
Praise be to the Emperor!!
That is a beautiful conversion. It fact could easily be my favorite I've ever seen. You've inspired me with ideas for my 1st company captain. Thanks!!! Can't wait to see it painted. +rep
Eternity Guard (SM) W-15/L-5/D-3
Lizardmen w16/ L1/ d2 :On hiatus since new rules... =/
Very, very nice! Please post more pics as he develops!
That is very cool, but as constructive criticism, wouldn't it be smarter to give him a nemesis deamon hammer. That would look even beter and is WYSIWYG.
Awesome conversion though, I think I'm going to do something similar
I like the look of him and can't wait to see him painted.
However, in the termi/palidin squad, using part of a whirlwind as the CML looks really bad and lets the whole model down. Sorry

Apoc games (mixture of armies used): W5-D0-L1
completely forgot about this thread, he's been done for awhile... well except for the garish looking halberd which I keep that way just to remind me that I still need to replace it should I ever find a suitable weapon for him, which preferrably is going to be some sort of ornate poleaxe to help him slay big beasties with.
The cyclone missile launcher guy, maybe that was just a bad angle, but he's sort of grown on me... otherwise, meh I'm economical before creative and those typhoon bits were the most practical/cheap way to do it.
Also, I'd love to replace the majority of the thunderhammers on my termies with various other weaponry like swords/axes/spears/etc... w/e looks like it'd be useful in monsterslaying to breakup the munautoknee of their titanhammer equipment. It'd all still count as th/ss anyways as per my fluff they're all about hunting the largest and most dangerous monsters they can find, harkening back towards the early origins of the Order on Caliban rather than focusing on current secrecy and hunting Fallen (though i still use the DA formation in apoc games).
A pic of my army's latest action just cause I happened to remember to take a pic during the game. This is towards the end of the game with half of my guys still alive after having taken out the subjugator once, the majority of the rest of the csm army as well as 3 screamer carnifii... with some help from the remnants of the eldar army that soaked up fire until I showed up. They ended up killing the subjugator for a 2nd time (due to replacements) as well as the heirophant on the last turn, winning my team the game due to claiming the 'Fallen' chaos lord at the feet of the destroyed subjugator.
edit: should say my work on the termies has been weighleighed indefinitely due to the new distraction of restarting and revamping my skaven army (as seen in the background of belials pic). with a furnace, bell, 2 abominations, a cannon, and roughly 250 rats to put together and paint... those termies might be waiting awhile, and even longer if i get distracted again by yet another project.
