What paint's should i use on my game board? I've made a board, well got it planned out just need a trip to the shops, and wanted to paint it to look urban. I've seen an article that says to use grey textured paint, but the only textured paint i can find is masonry paint. Will that work? Or i've had the idea of getting grey paint and mixing in some silver sand?
I'm making the board out of mdf, if that makes a diffrence as to what paint to use?
Just don't make it too textured. Some places I play have surfaces that are too grainy and make it hard to stand up some models and also leads to more cocked dice than usual.
Just a random opinion, I never actually made one. I usually like felt or flat surfaces with movable terrain pieces. You of course want it to look good, but the whole point is still to play a game on it.
Felt! Hadn't thought of that, dont want to buy a whole roll though really, and im not ripping it off the shed roof!! But i may well look in to that option, thanks SJ
Yea felt can be a good grass or dirt simulation but I don't know how it would look for an urban themed table.
Roofing shingles make for easy roads, parking lots, asphalt areas, old concrete, etc.
