Sorry if this is a common question, however:
So i just got back after buying some paints from my local, added water to my Chaos Black, Shadow Grey, Scorpion Green, etc. getting them to a rough milky consistency- easy. Boltgun Metal, on the other hand, is much thicker in comparison to every other paint.
Now; this could have just been an unlucky pot, or BGM is a much thicker paint than most others. Which must be for a reason. And for that reason i am hesitant to water it down to such a milky consistency.
short- how much are we ment to water down Boltgun Metal, if at all?
Generally all your metallic paints tend to be thicker. I still water mine down with no problems (I just add water straight to the pot, but that's me).
Yeah i add water straight to the pot. thanks for clearing that up for me! do you water it down to the same consistency as all your other paints, or keep it thicker (yet still watered down) than the others?
I think that's mostly a matter of personal preference. Try some paint out and see how the paint handles, and how you like it. If you're going to chase it through an airbrush though, I'd water it down to a milky consistency though.
Perfect. Thanks for that, sir!
