Hi i am planning to do an honour guard squad as a reunite for pedro kantor (the crimson fist chapter master)
and i don t want to buy the metal kit because its too expensive and i don t need calgear, i was thinking sanguinary guard
what do you guys think would be a good alternative choice?
any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd have thought that the Death Company kit would be a better bet... although the sang. guard weapons do look suitably impressive.
In either case you're going to need to lose the BA iconography and (with sang. guard) replace the jump packs with regular backpacks. Do Forge World still do Crimson Fist shoulder pads?
I have too many armies to list in my signature!
yeah i think sanguinary guard might be better than death company because of the power weopons.
forge world don t but gw do so that is probably a very good idea.
thanks for the help
If you're looking at honour guard, all you're trying to do is super-bling out your marines as much as possible. Sanguinary guard kits would work well, though I'm not sure how much blood iconography you'll need to file off, or if you'll want the nipple armour for crimson fists. Another thing to look into is a grey knight kit.
It'll still require a file and a little greenstuff fill, but the grey knight kit has a lot of fancy power armour and bling to dress up marine armour. Not sure how you're looking to kit out your honour guard, but falchions make great power weapons, and force swords make great relic blades (being two handed and all).
You'll still want to avoid the chest pieces (there's a lot of inquisition iconography to remove), but the rest can be picked through pretty thoroughly.
