How do one model smoke? I have seen some Ork Rokkit Boyz with large gusts of flame shooting out from the rockets to the base. I wonder how people go about building that? I have heard of something called Bush Flock but can't find any for sale. Please help!

scratcher of the family jewels
You could use greenstuff or putty and hand model them with a crafting knife? Mayby use a a straight/shortened paper clip leg as a base and just add the greenstuff to it. I suppose thats a slightly cheaper but more time consuming way of doing it?. Anyways good luck and Post some some of your results if you get time thanks .
I think I've heard of cotton wool around a wire frame or something, but I'm not sure how good it looks and have never actually tried it myself...
Not sure if watered down PVA was used to keep the cotton wool in shape, or if a spray varnish might achieve the same results.
I always assumed it was stretched cotton balls airbrushed with grey/white/orange
