Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok, if you don't know, The Empire Army section has a painting challenge every month and said challenge was to paint a unit of Swordsmen. Now the time is up and it's time to vote for the most inspiring, well painted and frankly the most awesome looking unit.
Here are the entries.
They're all reasonably good. I was going to vote for Jackmoodle, but the conversions in your regiment won me over completely.
I like young snotty there - very characterful addition. Good job Borak! Good job Jack and Marnepup too!
I voted for Borak since I really like the colorscheme and the character of the unit.

Can i vote too?I ask since i was not so active on the fantasy forums but now with the merge...
Praise be to the Emperor!!
Why the hell wouldn't you be able to vote?!?!?! You can still see models can't you??? Vote man! Vote!!
In all seriousness, sure you can. That's what the Poll is here for. There isn't a huge amount of traffic in the Empire boards so we'll get more votes and views (and maybe even future participants) if the votes are held in the painting Forum
Cheers for the vote mate I voted for Jack myself. All those cool little extras like the scroll work and the freehand on the shields won it for me.
Not much of an opinion on fantasy models, but hey that can change right?
I voted for marnepup, his painting stile is closer to what i envision on said unit,a little bit duller colours.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
I voted Borak. Color scheme was nice, and skin tones were great. There is also a sense of purpose in the posing of the models.
Jackmoddle, the banner was amazing.
Marnepup, I agree with pilot I liked the more muted colors in your scheme.
Kendo's DA's, Eldar, and stuff WIP
Dark Angels: W-22 D-4 L-5 High Elves W-8 L-1
Some great painting here guys, the three units are a really nice show of painting. I like Marnepup's, however I did feel they lacked a bit of definition and would ahve liked to see a larger version of the icon on the banner. It just looks a little empty. Jack's have a nice deep tone to them and the banner has some real nice freehand. Borak... well beside the weird looking fella he is... I like the old worn and grizzled look to the unit. The banner and the icon could have been a little bit larger and I would have liked to see some more freehand on them though.
Really great job there guys, very impressed with wll 3 paintjobs.
Borak's being so different in both feel and colour nearly won me over but in the end I went for Jackmoodle's I was won over by the banner and the flashy bits and bobs on the shield.
Marnepup was going to get it but after a closer look , the eyes are making the troops looks supprised ! Jackmoddle has some quality work painted , but the effort to take pictures did not show up close what the regiment trully looks like. Therfore a declared detail winner with clear images of detail and work goes to Lord Borak. ! Cheers !
