Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ha, more of these miniatures! Not sure if you've seen @odinsgrandson 's work but he occasionally paints some of these.
They look like great miniatures to paint - with the anime inspired look and the exaggerated proportions you can probably get away with being a bit experimental with colour schemes.
Not sure if I'm just not seeing highlights because of the photo but the lead guy in your group shot, the knight, I think he could do with some more highlighting on his hair and cloak.
Great game, and I love the mini style. I have a few of Sodapop's larger (and I mean, LARGER) models, and that anime theme is a blast to paint. I've got the Princess M- bent over a Hyabusa-inspired mech, their style is just awesome. I've considered buying a pack of the heroes just to paint them up for girlfriend - currently she just has a GW familiar pack that I gave her a few years ago.
I do think that you might want to add some washes to your Knight and Barbarian's armor, and make sure that you've got some highlights on everybody's hair. It's anime, you could practically paint some cell-shading onto their hair and still be just fine.
I had taken a look at those a while back.Great painting,i am rather fond of the purple devil like thingie.
Praise be to the Emperor!!
All the heroes, and no kobolds or dragons? I don't think I'll be able to resist Rex for very much longer.
Since you mentioned not being 100% happy with them, I'll suggest one thing- try black lining these minis. Basically, you just add a black (or very dark color) outline everywhere that different colors meet.
It usually isn't required if you're using a lot of darker or more neutral colors on a mini (although it often can help). But it makes a world of difference when you're painting minis this bright.
Funny you should mention that, I'm currently working on rex now, but I have the dragon done, I'll see about posting him up along with in progress Rex later tonight.
