As you can see in the first two photo's to make a new set. I just flipped the two sets around and you have a new set . in the third shot is the start of my new set that I will give a 40K feel to it . I will post more photos as I go .

After you have drawn out your stone pattern . You will cut the pattern out using a scalpel . After you have cut out the stones you will need to take a pencil and make the cuts wider . I use a pencil because the graphite acts as a lubricant . I made a special tool that fit the stones and added depth to the stone work . Next step is painting .
I hope this helps you out if you have any questions let me know .

What are you doing with the kitty litter?
He presses it in to the surface to add a few dents and undulations. I have done something similar with a large irregular bit of sandstone just pressing it into the foam to get rid of the even surface.
Great work btw. How will you undercoat? Spraycans will melt things so it's down to emulsion or acrylic paint.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
The kitty litter is for adding texture to the foam you gan also get the same effect with a good rough stone as well . The walls I will be using foam core and I will show how I do that later . Thanks for watching and thanks for the comments .
Holy Smokes, this is excellent!! I have used the foam insulation for many wall and terrain pieces, but I really like the two 'extra' techniques you used with the texturing and the stone offsetting - that just really makes it pop!
Rep for you!!
Three Roads Dreamt - My novella collection is now available! Action Suspense, Fantasy and Sci-Fi
Yea really awesome with the pics at each step.
Brilliant! Thank you very much for sharing the process to make this effect. I'll definitely be using it in the future.
Thank you ! I am glad I could help you out .
