What size of these bad boys to I need to purchase to embed in the weapons/mounts on a Eldar Vyper? I want to make the weapons interchangeable.
All the old Specialist Games resources are currently being uploaded at the Tactical Command forums, and you can find them here: http://www.sg.tacticalwargames.net/fanatic/.
Eldar Vypers are plastic right? I wouldn't imagine it'd take much to attach weapons in that case.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Probably the 1/4 diameter by 1/16 thick. You could go with 1/16 both dimensions. Measure the spot you plan to place them to see what fits.
On weapons the problem isn't usually holding the weapon in place, but preventing it from rotating. Such as your dread arms rotating so they're hanging to the ground. I solve it with a pin or stud glued in a place that stops the weapon from rotating past where I want it, or glue two small patches of emory paper (sandpaper) one on each side of the joint. The rough surface prevents the joint from rotating unless you move it yourself.
Probably the smallest, I don't know exactly how big a vyper weapon joint is but the larger ones won't fit smaller models, and you will be buying a lot of magnets.
I got rods, instead of discs, 1/16" ^ 2 so I could drill a small hole in the model and glue them in, then they won't stick out at all.
 I thought that once. I bought 500 very small magnets from KJ Magnetics. They are the size of this period ---> . Yes, that is the actual size. They look like dust sprinkled all over my fridge. Needless to say they are interesting but useless so far. They are good for conversation when someone in the kitchen notices them after the fourth blender of frozen alcoholic fruit beverage.Originally posted by strewart@Oct 26 2004, 02:20
