Hope no one minds if I repost my epic (6mm) painting from the taccoms forum here:
I've been helping a friend of mine collect and paint a spacemarine army. I suggested Blood Angels since a) That gave him two possible lists to use b) I wanted to paint something red.
This is what we have so far. I'llpost two pictures, one of what we have painted and one of the whole collection so far. Any advice on what else we need to collect to make it a good set to choose lists from (ie I know we only have 3 bases of terminators), any tips to improve the painting and any conversion suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The bikes will be rebased to match the painted ones, two to a base. There are 6 bases of generic characters that we based up with tac marines to allow us to swap them into any formation (little bit of artisitic liscence to put them into scouts and termies). I also have the spare minis to make the death company up to 6 bases, so that when we play with the codex list we can field them as a tactical company.
Here are some close(r) ups.

Now I've finished converting for and painting my friends blood angels I think it's time to start on my imperial guard so I can play him. I'll post up some pictures of what is there ready to paint. I've not started much yet!
Here is the warlord Titan. He is an eBay rescue, he came with no arms or carapace weapons and was quite heavily painted. I have few... well no... epic bits to work with so I did my best with the 40k bits I had. I also used him as an oppertunty to try out the new inks from GW.
I'm not very happy, either with my conversion, where the missiles are way out of scale, or the paint job. The new washes are great at running into crevices, but I've used too much and it looks like I've blacklined the minature. Still he was cheap, and I'm quite pleased with how using dozer blade supports for the tops of the arms has worked out.
I have never played epic but I am really liking those Blood Angels. I always felt that epic was a better scale for the40k universe as it could better reflect thesize andscale of war in the 41st millenium, which I imagine to be more like apocolypse than 40k itself.
Great job, really like the rescued titan, think you did a fantastic job there
I'm loving epic. It's cheap to get into, sooooo easy to store after playing 40k and fantasy and a lot calmer to play. 40k can almost be stressful. I also find it quicker, and as you take turns to use units, not whole armies you never wait long for a go.
On the down side the small miniatures are harder to form any attachment to and are not as satisfying to collect and look at. Also while many things are very very cheap on eBay, some rare things are stupidly expensive, the Capitol imperialis miniature goes for £80+.
This looks really good. I think I might get into Epic, atleast a little bit. Looking forward to seeing more of your figures painted.
Epic was always AWESOME!! I used to love Space marine back in the day.
