    Had semi-painted these a few years back, trying to mimic the paint scheme (brass/silver) on the box these models came in. Still have 3 more riders to paint, and then perhaps some highlighting (and filling in details, like the weapons on these two), though I think I'd rather spend my time painting other units, as this is the very first unit I've ever completed, and as I can't wait to play my very first battle.

    Anyway, here's a quick first look at two of the models. I'm a rookie painter, so any advice is welcome. I'm going for a strong blue/gold look for my army.

    Yeah, as you said, more highlights for the metal parts and some more work on the weapons.
    Maybe paint the bolts on the horse-armour another metal colour? They look good for a rookie-painter

    I really dig the color scheme on thoes guys. The only prob i have with them is that you should use chesnut ink or flesh wash on the bone

    Yeah, I haven't washed them yet. Not very experienced with washing, so my plan is to continue just putting the basic paint on my models, and then experience a bit more with washing and highlighting on some old models I have laying around.
