Before I started my feral orkz the army i wanted to build was a speed freaks list with practically no footsloggers.
fluf wize: an all grot cult of speed.
this would have included battle wagonz an deth koptaz, but mainly trucks, trackz, ande especially buggies.
what killed the idea for me waz the sheer # of small vehicles i would need, the price of those vehicles if bought individually from GW, and the quality of the modelz available.
the questions then become: what options are out there for conversions into these vehicles, are they cost effective, and would they be tourny legal?
if you are going to make the vehicles themselves it is still tourney legal, I have seen several KoS with nothing but converted vehicles in it.
I would try and look for 1/35th scale models, they are cheaper and often have a lot of extar components, also try e-bay to get cheap second hand vehicles which you hack into new ork vehicles
its simple really....
i had a wartrukk...once, long ago...
then i saw these little yellow dump trucks at the local super market and and had an idea...the trucks were a dollar apiece and were quite stupid looking...
so i says to myself...hey!.,...i can make myself some wartrukks! and with alot of patience and lots of glue...whaaala!!!
as for the battlewagon...a tank...i went to the dollar store and saw a tank and it was like melting ice cream on hot apple pie!
i will post pics of these some day...i promise!
the key thing to have is imagination!
